Project Manager - Construction / (建築関連)プロジェクトマネージャー

We are seeking a Project Manager - Construction to join our team in Saitama, Japan.

As a Project Manager - Construction, you will be responsible for managing construction projects related to sports facilities, including stadiums, training grounds, and academies.

Your main tasks will include:

• Developing medium- and long-term plans for facility maintenance
• Planning and coordinating new construction and renovation projects
• Conducting hearings with facility users and relevant departments
• Investigating necessary functions, scales, routes, and operational conditions
• Surveying potential construction sites, existing facilities, and surrounding environments
• Negotiating with local governments, owners, and facility managers
• Examining possibilities for subsidies and grants

You will also be responsible for project management, including:

• Creating project plans
• Managing budgets, schedules, quality, and risks
• Building project teams and meeting structures
• Managing decision-making items, issues, and concerns
• Reporting to senior management and the board of directors

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in architecture, civil engineering, equipment, real estate, or facility management
• Interest in project management and willingness to grow as a PM assistant
• Basic ability to read architectural and construction drawings, estimates, and schedules
• Experience in one of the following areas: architectural or civil engineering project management, building construction or renovation, real estate development, facility development, construction management, or experience working in a construction company, design office, developer, facility management company, or local government
• Basic knowledge of architecture, equipment, and construction
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, quality, and risks
• Ability to involve internal and external stakeholders and build consensus
• Practical communication skills with designers, contractors, and administrators
• Basic English language skills
• Ability to create documents using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Positive attitude towards solving project issues
• Valid driver's license

Preferred qualifications include:

• TOEIC 800 or higher
• Architectural or construction-related qualifications
• Knowledge of stadium, arena, or sports facility operations
• Knowledge of J-League facility standards and match operations
