Account Executive

We are seeking an Account Executive at WVEC-TV, a TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Hampton Roads. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for achieving or exceeding individual sales goals across all TEGNA marketing solutions, including linear TV, digital, and OTT with PREMION.

You will act as a lead generator by identifying and reaching clients in the Hampton Roads market that will best take advantage of our solutions. You will then become a marketing consultant to the clients, helping them define and achieve their business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect for new revenue opportunities using client and category insights.
• Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of WVEC-TV offerings.
• Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms.
• Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients.
• Establish strong relationships with internal team members.
• Partner with your Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
• Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events and surrounding businesses.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of account engagement in a professional, fast-paced media sales environment.
• Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities.
• Established knowledge of marketing solutions, including broadcasting and digital advertising.
• Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns.
• Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy.
