Description
We are seeking an Applications Engineering, Engineer to join our team at Synopsys in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
You will be part of the Global Signoff Organization, supporting customers using ICV and StarRC across physical verification and parasitic extraction workflows. Your responsibilities will include providing direct technical support to design teams, debugging complex technical issues, developing and refining ICV and StarRC signoff methodologies, collaborating with customer engineering teams and senior colleagues, assisting with technical guidance and training, working with Synopsys R&D teams, documenting technical solutions, and leveraging AI-driven techniques to help customers develop and optimize design methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of signoff, experience with ICV and StarRC, and strong problem-solving, communication, and customer engagement skills. You will need to be able to work in a Linux/Unix environment, have basic understanding of semiconductor design, foundry flows, design rule checking, layout-versus-schematic verification, and RC extraction concepts, and be proficient in scripting languages such as Tcl or Python.
In this role, you will enable customers to achieve faster, more reliable signoff closure on cutting-edge semiconductor designs, reduce extraction and timing correlation issues, help customers scale signoff workflows, accelerate problem resolution, improve ICV and StarRC adoption and effectiveness, build trust and technical credibility with customers, and influence product roadmap priorities.
