HSE Project Specialist - Powergen Europe

We are seeking a talented HSE Project Specialist to join our team in Krakow, Poland, specializing in Health and Safety.

In this role, you will lead health, safety, and environmental projects from identification through implementation, using data, risk insights, and continuous improvement methods to reduce risk and improve performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to embed HSE requirements throughout PowerGen project execution
• Supporting installation, commissioning, and delivery activities to ensure compliance with Cummins standards and local European regulatory requirements
• Leading project-specific HSE risk management, including review of RAMS, JSA equivalents, dynamic risk assessments, and control measures for high-risk activities
• Verifying site readiness and ensuring appropriate controls are in place for work such as lifting operations, electrical work, and confined space entry
• Supporting contractor management across European project sites
• Using HSE performance metrics, audit findings, and incident investigations to identify gaps and prioritize improvements
• Influencing a positive HSE culture through coaching, training, and promoting practical solutions

Requirements:

• Strong project management capability
• Practical experience applying HSE management systems, incident investigation, and risk assessment
• Confidence working across functions, cultures, and geographies
• Willingness and ability to travel across European project sites (up to 50% during peak project execution)
• College or university degree; a degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline is preferred
• Professional HSE certification, such as NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH Diploma
• 3-5 years of relevant HSE experience, including team leadership, project management, and support for construction or field execution activities

Salary range: zł123,525 - zł205,875
