SpaceXAI’s mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge.

This role will involve supervising a team of hourly employees operating within SpaceXAI's logistics organization on 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with weekends as needed).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an hourly workforce by assessing employee performance, providing feedback, facilitating conflict resolution, and addressing repeat issues.
  • Lead by setting an example, taking feedback from all levels, and motivating your organization to achieve high results.
  • Monitor and improve operations, ensuring a safe work environment with zero OSHA recordable annually.
  • Manage incoming acceptance, storing, and issuing of various parts and hardware into inventory.
  • Provide industry-leading customer service in all operations.
  • Lead cost-saving opportunities and identify internal/external cost reductions.
  • Ensure cycle counting procedures are followed for internal and external audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain service routes and material replenishments.
  • Supervise local shipping and receiving operations.
  • Drive projects and changes contributing to logistics improvement.
  • Ensure procedures are followed for shelf-life storage and stock rotation.
  • Monitor and approve employee time-keeping records.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; or 4+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with ERP/inventory management software.
  • Experience with MRP systems.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in materials management.
  • Experience using WarpDrive.
  • Completion of a leadership or rotational development program.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).
  • Lean/6-Sigma experience.
  • Green/black belt certifications.
  • Ability to operate forklift equipment.
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills.
  • Organized and self-driven with ability to work independently.
  • Experience in an aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs., standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites (up to 25%).
  • Availability to work weekends when necessary.
