Security Officer

We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team in Cobham, Surrey. As the public face of the Security Team, you will be responsible for ensuring exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site.

Job Objective & Responsibilities: This important role requires a can-do and professional attitude. You will need to:

• Interact with all visitors and tenants within the shopping centre, delivering first-class customer-focused service
• Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre as detailed in the site assignment instructions
• Look for opportunities to be of assistance to visitors at the shopping centre, proactively helping wherever opportunities arise
• Safeguard all sites to ensure a safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors and tenants
• Manage incidents in accordance with site policies and procedures
• Liaise with the site control room, proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and supported
• Report any unsecure areas of the site to the Control Room immediately and take action to resolve
• Record and log all non-conformances and emergencies with the appropriate control room operatives
• Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies, ensuring the Centre team is kept fully informed
• Monitor and surveil suspect individuals, logging and reporting incidents in line with site and company policies
• Maintain vigilance and highlight/manage unauthorised access by banned individuals
• Adhere to radio procedures and notebook policies
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Requirements:

• Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful at all times
• Have a one-team approach
• Take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary
• Stay motivated and aim high
• Respect all staff and visitors within the shopping centre
• Hold an SIA and CCTV license
• Have First Aid Training
