We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Electrical to join our India – Sweden Services Team. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical services engineering designs for various building projects and external utility services. You will work with other engineers to perform calculations in coordination with our Sweden/local engineers.

Responsibilities

Technical

Focus on delivering high-quality technical design drawings, engineering designs, and specifications to the required regulations.
Develop the technical capabilities of the team.
Contribute to technical solutions on projects.
Initiate and participate in design peer reviews.
Ensure internal quality procedures are followed.
Keep up to date with industry developments in your discipline and understand the basic technical principles and drivers of other disciplines.
Assist and support mentorship for junior engineers within the team.
Attend project meetings with various disciplines.

Manage Project Delivery and Leadership

Act as project manager on selected projects, managing the successful delivery of high-quality multi- and single-disciplinary projects.
Design, review, and deliver high-quality technical mechanical services engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports to the required regulations.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks with the team lead in India and lead country to secure the best commercial return from the project.
Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
Ensure project programs are met and advise on any foreseen delays.
Participate in and support internal multi-discipline knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Identify and flag additional fees to the local CRC Head of MEP.

Key Competencies / Skills

Mandatory Skills

Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience delivering international projects.
Involvement in numerous projects from an early stage to providing fit-for-construction stage designs.
Technical expertise in providing Electrical Systems design for the Property and Building sector, including feasibility studies, concept development, detailed design, specification, and tender to the required standards.
Experience in engineering and modeling external utility services, including conduits for cabling and telecommunications services.
Proficiency in technical software such as Amtech, Dialux, Dialux Evo, Relux.
Proven ability to produce detailed drawings from basic sketches.
Good working knowledge of BIM software packages.
Hands-on experience with drafting/3D modeling software like AutoCAD, MEP Revit.
Excellent working knowledge of REVIT Software (version 2021 and above).
Strong command of technical terminology.
Excellent command of written and verbal English.

Desired Skills

Sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project.
Membership in an accredited engineering body (e.g., MIET, CIBSE, ASHRAE).
Experience with MagiCAD for AutoCAD/Revit.
Good management and technical skills, with the ability to work both within the team and independently.
Punctual and able to meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience.
Comprehensive experience with technical design and associated discipline software.
