HVAC Supervisor (Chilled Water Systems)

SpaceXAI is seeking a supervisor for its facilities operations team to help design, build, activate, and maintain technically advanced facilities. The successful candidate will operate autonomously to solve complex problems, manage multiple projects, and work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and repair of campus-wide systems, including mechanical/HVAC, electrical, compressed air, dust collectors, and plumbing tasks.
• Direct a team of plumbing, compressed air, electrical, and HVAC-focused facility technicians.
• Schedule daily work and prioritize assignments.
• Develop, plan, and execute site improvement projects aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure understanding of and adherence to all safety procedures.
• Maintain records for all trades as required.
• Understand mechanical equipment such as chilled water systems, boilers, VFDs, pumps, PLCs, condensers, and air compressors.
• Communicate daily activities, projects, team morale, and issues to the manager.
• Manage vendor/contractor finances and oversee team performance through coaching and development.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of experience in facilities management.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building management and automated facilities monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing budgets and third-party vendors.
• Experience negotiating contracts and comparing service costs.
• Experience with asset management software.
• High attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently with little direction and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
