Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County. As a casual or per diem Physical Therapist, you will provide inpatient acute care coverage with potential outpatient hours based on your skill set. You will work a minimum of 12 shifts per calendar year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care assessment and treatment
  • Ensure patient evaluations and treatments are comprehensive and functional
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with realistic goals
  • Supervise support staff and provide direction and feedback
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete written patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes
  • Meet department financial and productivity standards
  • Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services
  • Promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers

Requirements:

  • B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from an accredited physical therapy school
  • Current licensure in the state of Wisconsin
  • CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C
  • Previous hospital experience preferred

Work Environment:

  • Subject to stress conditions
  • Moderate noise environment
  • Clean, well-lit comfortable climate
  • Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens and airborne pathogens
  • Contact with patients under various circumstances
