Responsibilities:
- Follow safe work behaviors and look out for hazards
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, systems, or processes on various machinery
- Machine and fabricate parts
- Weld, braze, rig, and tram equipment and perform general building repairs
- Recommend equipment improvements to optimize performance and efficiency
- Create a positive, inclusive work environment
- Document completed work in an electronic logbook
Requirements:
- 2-year associate's degree in a mechanical maintenance or electro-mechanic field, or equivalent experience
- Reliable transportation to Menomonie, WI
- Completion of a job-related readiness assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with manufacturing and/or manufacturing technology on web process equipment
- Experience with welding fabrication and machine tool technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay: $37.53 to $39.05 per hour, depending on experience
- $2.00 per hour differential for night shift and double time pay on Sunday
- Pay increases throughout the two years as new tasks are learned and more responsibility is taken on
