Description
Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is seeking an Experienced ATE Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, KA. As a leading global aerospace company, Boeing develops, manufactures and services commercial airplanes, defense products and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries.
The successful candidate will design Special Test Equipment (STE) or Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for formal testing of end products. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing STE/ATE solutions for testing end products at various levels
- Using Zuken & Mentor graphics tools for Rack Wiring and harness design
- Documenting designs using Visio, Mentor Graphics, Mentor Graphics Capital, Zuken, CATIA / UG NX/C
- Managing obsolescence of existing ATE design
- Driving test program execution and maintaining baseline to scope, cost and schedule
- Troubleshooting and testing ATE
- Collaborating with Technical Leads, Product Leads, and customers
- Participating in Failure Review Board investigations
- Creating and reviewing test plans, test procedures, and test reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical ,Material Sciences , or non-US equivalent qualifications
- Experience in CAD tools like Catia / UG-NX / CREO
- Experience on BOM preparation & Obsolescence management
- Experience in Mechanical rack design
- Experience on military and Aerospace connector selection
- Experience performing formal Qualification testing
- Good knowledge on various types of measurement and test equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work with a global teams, at flexible hours
