Description

This role contributes to delivering customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The Assistant Manager, Transformation Office & Strategic Operations reports to the Head of Business Transformation and supports the effective operation of the Transformation Office and the broader Business Strategy & Transformation function.

Responsibilities:

Transformation Office & Strategic Initiative Orchestration

  • Coordinate enterprise-wide transformation and strategic initiatives through the Transformation Office governance framework.
  • Monitor initiative progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination across business, technology, and supporting functions.
  • Support prioritisation, planning, and portfolio reviews across transformation and strategic initiatives.
  • Consolidate initiative status, key risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits realisation metrics into executive dashboards and management reports.
  • Support Transformation Office governance forums and relevant management meetings.
  • Maintain Transformation Office trackers, initiative status updates, action logs, and governance records.
  • Support continuous enhancement of Transformation Office governance, reporting, and orchestration practices.
  • Assist in change management and communication activities.

Governance, Workforce Management & Strategic Operations

  • Support departmental governance activities, management reporting, and operational reviews.
  • Act as secretary for the monthly Senior Management Team meeting.
  • Maintain Management Committee and departmental SharePoint sites, governance documentation, records, and management information repositories.
  • Support total workforce management activities, including contingent workforce monitoring, vacancy tracking, workforce reporting, and related follow-up.
  • Support departmental budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and expense monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, procurement processes, contract administration, and related operational activities.
  • Act as Business Continuity Planning coordinator for the Business Strategy & Transformation function.
  • Coordinate industry association matters, consultation exercises, and external stakeholder communications.

Executive Reporting & Department Coordination

  • Support the preparation of management updates, strategic reports, and governance materials for senior management and relevant committees.
  • Develop clear and concise presentation materials.
  • Coordinate department meetings, workshops, and planning sessions.
  • Maintain departmental action logs and follow up on key deliverables, decisions, and commitments.
  • Provide timely and accurate coordination support to the Head of Business Transformation and the Director of Business Strategy & Transformation.
  • Participate in ad hoc strategic projects, business initiatives, and special assignments as requested by management.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Information Systems, Insurance, Project Management, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transformation office, PMO, business transformation, strategic operations, business planning, management consulting, corporate governance, or related functions.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Good understanding of programme governance, project management, stakeholder coordination, change management, and business planning principles.
  • Experience supporting transformation initiatives, governance forums, management reporting, or cross-functional business projects.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and drive follow-up actions independently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
  • Strong PowerPoint, executive presentation development, and business writing skills.
  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and governance documentation for senior management or executive committees.
  • Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of budgeting, procurement, vendor onboarding, workforce tracking, or departmental operations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Power Platform, SharePoint, or other AI-enabled productivity and reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong language ability in English and Chinese.
