Maintenance Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a talented Maintenance Safety Coordinator to join our team at the Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment, adhering to HSE standards, and promoting sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems using various tools to ensure equipment availability and capability
• Learn and understand protocols for working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment
• Stop work and report any major injury hazards immediately to maintain a safe working environment
• Adhere to HSE standards and promptly report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards
• Recognize the environmental impact of your work and strive to minimize negative effects
• Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency
• Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems to ensure smooth operation and compliance with codes and standards
• Instruct and coach others to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and TPM teams to drive enhancements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development

Requirements:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience
• Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, focus on customers, make quality decisions, drive results, learn nimblely, champion health and safety, and value differences
• Specific skills in troubleshooting electrical systems, implementing automation and control systems, programming machines, and applying manufacturing knowledge
