Q2 Solutions is a leading clinical trial laboratory services organization that transforms science and data into actionable medical insights to improve human health.
This role is responsible for the accurate execution of laboratory experiments and contribution to the design of scientific procedures. The Associate Scientist will aid in the development of scientific discovery and support Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for the customer.
Essential Functions
- Perform routine qualitative and quantitative laboratory procedures under minimal supervision, following all safety protocols and GLP as defined by the customer
- Prepare experiments and samples for analyses
- Analyze and accurately report results in a timely manner to contribute to scientific meetings and project outcomes
- Operate and perform routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and troubleshoot procedures according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Accurately document all procedures following customer requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in applied/laboratory sciences with direct laboratory coursework
- 2-3 years of direct laboratory experience
- Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances, and medical checkups
- Strong communication skills
- Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality
- Ability to understand and follow scientific protocols, policies, and procedures
- Must be flexible, forward-thinking, and motivated
- Able to act independently and manage responsibilities while following scientific direction
- Must be able to lift 25lbs minimum
- Basic computing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines
