Senior Component Engineer, EW

Anduril's Electronic Warfare (EW) team is seeking experienced Senior Component Engineers to build out the software and hardware ecosystem supporting next-generation electronic warfare platforms.

As a Senior Component Engineer, you will own component qualification for new parts and sources across electrical and mechanical commodities. You will define and execute qualification plans to ensure compatibility and compliance for production and deployed EW systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Qualify new components and sources across various electrical and mechanical commodities
• Develop and execute qualification plans for production and deployed EW systems
• Identify critical single-source components and drive second-source qualification
• Perform form-fit-function analysis on candidate alternates
• Collaborate with design engineers to influence component selection and review schematics and BOMs
• Drive component commonality and reuse across EW programs and product configurations
• Monitor lifecycle status across active BOMs and resolve obsolescence issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent
• 5+ years in component engineering, parts engineering, or a materials and processes role
• Experience qualifying alternate and second sources for production hardware
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical hardware
• Experience working with design engineers, sourcing, and suppliers
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with RF and microwave components and printed circuit board materials
• Familiarity with high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
