Job Overview
You'll join Carta's Contracts team in APAC, managing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts for clients. This involves negotiating and managing high volumes of pre-M&A contracts, serving as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Carta's legal technology suite.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and manage high volumes of pre-M&A contracts, including NDAs, confidentiality agreements, NRLs, joinders, and engagement letters
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for sophisticated investment fund and asset manager clients
- Maintain and update client playbooks to ensure consistency and quality across all contract negotiations
- Collaborate with and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Carta's legal technology suite, identifying ways to innovate using AI-backed tools
Requirements
- Commercially minded and client-focused, with experience in transactional law and 6-8+ PQE
- Familiar with financial services, having worked with asset managers, investment banks, or other financial services firms
- Law degree and licensed to practice in any APAC jurisdiction
- Based in APAC time zone
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, with experience working with legal technology suites and AI tools
- Self-starter who owns their work and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
The compensation for this role will be paid on a fixed per-document basis, details of which will be discussed during the first screening call with our Talent Team.
