IT Support Engineer

Job Overview

We're seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team at Anthropic, a company focused on creating reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. You will provide technical support across our mostly macOS environment, help with operational work, and contribute to scaling our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, networking, and accounts
• Diagnose and fix issues on macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and core SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, and Atlassian
• Troubleshoot device issues, including enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement
• Support access management and employee lifecycle workflows
• Handle escalations requiring cross-team coordination
• Participate in on-call rotations for urgent issues outside business hours
• Provide hands-on support for user technology, AV systems, conference rooms, and printers
• Communicate effectively with users at all technical levels
• Write and maintain internal documentation, including runbooks and knowledge base articles
• Identify patterns in support requests and opportunities for automation
• Streamline onboarding and high-volume operations as we scale
• Contribute to automation efforts and maintain device management systems
• Write scripts in Bash or Python to automate repetitive tasks

Requirements

• Hands-on IT support experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting macOS endpoints and other platforms like ChromeOS, iOS, and Android
• Google Workspace administration experience
• Slack administration experience, including workspace management and troubleshooting
• Experience with SaaS tools and identity/access fundamentals
• Familiarity with MDM and endpoint management concepts
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with zero-trust security concepts and endpoint security tooling
• Networking basics: DNS, DHCP, VPNs
• Experience with IT projects beyond day-to-day support
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity
• Interest in developing deeper technical skills

Logistics

• Annual salary: €125,000 - €165,000 EUR
• 4-day-per-week in-office expectation in Dublin
• Sponsorship for visas available
