Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and operate AI-powered tools and services for software developers.
- Develop agentic workflows, reusable skills, tool integrations, and orchestration capabilities.
- Integrate AI tools with source control, CI/CD systems, issue trackers, documentation platforms, and internal developer environments.
- Build backend services and APIs that are secure, observable, reliable, and easy to maintain.
- Apply software engineering practices to manage the non-deterministic nature of AI systems, including evaluation, testing, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Work directly with developers to understand their workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and help evolve the architecture of our AI development platform.
- Improve engineering processes, documentation, and operational practices across the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Software development experience using Python.
- Experience designing, building, testing, and operating backend services or developer-facing tools.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing APIs within distributed software architectures.
- Practical experience using or developing with large language models, AI coding tools, or agentic AI systems.
- Experience working with Git, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Experience developing AI agents, reusable skills, tool-calling integrations, prompts, evaluation frameworks, or agent harnesses.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, context management, and model evaluation.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, command-line tools, IDE integrations, or engineering productivity tooling.
- Knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Go or TypeScript.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and modern cloud deployment practices.
- Experience with observability, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Familiarity with relational, document-based, or vector datastores.
