Motion Graphic Designer

The TEGNA Design Tank in Denver, Colorado is seeking a talented Motion Graphic Designer to join its internal creative department. The successful candidate will create complex animated graphics, infographics, kinetic typography, and video assets for TEGNA's broadcast television stations and digital platforms.

The Motion Graphic Designer will work closely with a team of artists and designers, supporting all TEGNA television stations daily. The role involves collaborating with senior creatives, art directors, production teams, and employees across all TEGNA stations nationwide.

Responsibilities:

• Design and animate broadcast graphics for TEGNA local news stations, including logo design, informational graphics, branding, and marketing projects
• Communicate with stations about projects and daily graphics
• Handle other essential tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• Formal training in design/art school, preferably with a motion graphic curriculum
• Proficiency in Cinema 4D and/or Blender preferred, but not mandatory
• Editing experience with Adobe Premiere is desirable
• 2-4 years of experience as a motion graphic designer in a professional graphic design environment is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong executional skills in Adobe products, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro
• Excellent design and animation skills, with a professional portfolio demonstrating compelling and aspirational designs
• Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to perform under tight deadlines, and flexibility with current design and editing AI tools

Pay Range: $55k -$62k Annually/ $26.44-$ 29.81 hourly
