Senior Security Engineer, Networking

CoreWeave is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to help protect its rapidly scaling cloud infrastructure hosting high-performance AI workloads.

In this role, you will architect and implement cutting-edge security solutions focused on network security across CoreWeave's data center perimeter and internal networks. You will work in a high-scale environment and ensure that the company's network and services remain secure, resilient, and trustworthy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy robust security measures across the network perimeter and internal fabrics to protect CoreWeave's globally distributed hyperscale infrastructure hosting large-scale AI workloads.
• Champion a Zero Trust security model across CoreWeave's network and cloud environments.
• Establish robust monitoring for network security events and potential breaches across high-density AI cluster networks.
• Work closely with Networking, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering teams to integrate security best practices into architecture, deployments, and processes.
• Secure high-density GPU clusters and ultra-low latency backend fabrics.
• Contribute to security initiatives and foster a security-first mindset across the organization.
• Help refine, implement, and enforce security policies and standard operating procedures for a highly scalable, distributed environment.

Required Qualifications

• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with exposure to large-scale cloud or hyperscaler environments.
• Deep understanding of network security principles and technologies, including experience mitigating DDoS attacks, securing high-speed data center fabrics, and implementing zero trust methodologies.
• Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of securing modern cloud and network architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute key input to security initiatives and projects end-to-end.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in implementing, refining, and enforcing security policies and controls for highly scalable, distributed systems.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a top-tier cloud provider or hyperscale environment.
• Experience designing zero trust networks, including identity and access management (IAM) systems.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming for automating security tasks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or cloud security certifications.
• Active involvement in the security community or contributions to open-source security projects.

What We Offer

• Base salary range: $153,000 to $204,000
