Working as a Food Service Expert at Target means being part of a team that enables a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available, and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor.
As a Food Service Expert, you will create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments such as greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations
- Upholding and maintaining the execution of Food & Beverage standards and Pizza Hut brand standards
- Executing Food & Beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, and data accuracy
- Producing, packaging, and labelling items to specifications
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and inviting dining area for guests
- Making changes to salesfloor merchandise displays as directed
- Following all food safety requirements and monitoring temperature-sensitive food items
- Using sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
- Completing Pizza Hut training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Pizza Hut products
- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Working in a safe manner at all times and reporting hazards
- Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business
- Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Access to all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information
- Accurately handling cash register operations as needed
- Climbing up and down ladders if needed
- Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in environments with refrigeration and freezer temperatures
