Maintenance Specialist - Plant Daniel

The Maintenance Specialist will report to the Planning Team Leader and be responsible for coordinating maintenance for assigned areas/equipment to ensure generating availability, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.
  • Develop and implement plant improvement projects.
  • Provide technical direction and maintenance expertise to maintenance or contract personnel.
  • Support and coordinate processes such as Maximo, Living Maintenance Strategy, and Event Learning.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for process and equipment needs.
  • Provide support for Team Leaders and the Engineering/Performance department as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of plant equipment, systems, and operation.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of budgets and the budgeting process.
  • Proficiency in computer-based applications (Microsoft Office, Enterprise solutions tools).
  • Understanding of the IBEW/Union contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Operations and/or Maintenance in an Electric Generating Plant or 5 years journeyman level experience in other industrial work environments.
