Description
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Analytics in Finance Capabilities to serve as a senior technical leader for Finance's adoption of Target's modern data platform. You will lead the end-to-end data validation strategy supporting Finance Modernization and partner across Finance, Product Management, engineering, enterprise data platform teams, Risk & Controls, and SOX IT.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Finance modern source application to data platform data validation strategy
- Lead independent contractor resources performing validation work
- Provide technical leadership to ensure solutions meet Finance expectations for quality, traceability, and long-term sustainability
- Serve as a key technical advocate for Finance with data platform, architecture, Product Management, and engineering teams
- Establish and communicate common technical patterns and guardrails for Finance
Requirements:
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, data architecture, or a related technical data role
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures and end-to-end data flows
- Demonstrated experience designing or leading data validation, reconciliation, testing, or data-quality frameworks
- Strong SQL and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to evaluate and challenge technical architecture and solution designs
- Experience leading the work of matrixed technical resources
- Strong understanding of data controls, reconciliation, data lineage, auditability, and data-quality concepts
