Description
Ringhals nuclear power plant provides fossil-free electricity every day, year-round. As a Shift Technical Advisor (STA), you will be a technical support to the control room operators and an important part of the shift team. The role is manned around the clock and has a clear focus on safe operation – both during normal and disturbed operation.
Your main areas of responsibility:
- Support the block operators in the control room with technical assessments, guidance, and review
- Contribute to good radiation safety through action plans and decisions
- Participate in the emergency preparedness organization as a Drifting Engineer Emergency
- Be trained to act as VHI (Watching Engineer)
We are looking for someone with a strong safety focus and who thrives in a role with great responsibility. You have solid operational experience from PWR blocks, good knowledge of emergency management, and the ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
As STA, you belong to a shift team but require independence and courage in the assignment, as you are expected to review the acting shift manager's decisions. STA has a central role in Ringhals' organization, mainly during disturbed operation and other unforeseen events, which means you need to be able to cooperate both internally and externally. Contacts with authorities also occur, which requires that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
We offer you personal development in a workplace with many opportunities, as well as benefits such as reduced working hours, favorable pension agreements, parental leave supplements, and more.
