Description
We are seeking a Kitchen Utility/Dishwasher to join our team at Crowne Plaza or Holiday Inn National Airport. As a Kitchen Utility/Dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishware and equipment, completing general routine cleaning tasks, and adhering to all health regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the dish machine, ensuring minimum temperature requirements are met, and clean the dishwasher, changing the water as needed.
- Clean curtains and traps, air dry dishes to prevent spots, and ensure proper storage.
- Inspect dishes being washed and re-wash as necessary.
- Remove trash, break down boxes, and maintain floors.
- Complete deep cleaning projects, including quarterly power sprays of the kitchen.
- Assist with cleaning other areas such as the associate break room.
- Anticipate and respond to varying levels of business to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Assist others on the team within and outside the department to ensure guest needs are met.
- Monitor use of dishwashing and cleaning chemicals to reduce costs.
- Help reduce breakage during washing and storage processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Operate all equipment following safe and proper procedures.
- Follow all B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for guest/associate incidents.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
- Produce the required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties.
- Adhere to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures.
- Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
- Assist with plating for banquet events, food preparation, and production assignments as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Some high school coursework required.
- Dependability, attention to detail, customer focus, and ability to perform job duties in a repetitive and fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
- Ability to complete physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and moving about the dish room continuously throughout the shift.
- Prior dishwashing experience preferred.

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications, or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F.
