Description
Logitech is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their Personal Workspace Solution (PWS) engineering group.
The role involves driving the definition, selection, implementation, and qualification of electrical systems embedded in video products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and monitoring market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, product managers, and product designers to understand and establish product requirements
- Contribute to the development of new technologies and bring innovation and new ideas
- Evaluate competition products, new technologies, concepts, systems, or components based on performance, user experience, risk, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
- Plan future roadmap for key components and influence suppliers' strategy
- Specify, design, and qualify electronics hardware solutions for video devices
- Own product electrical design from concept to manufacturing
- Act as a technical leader and key contributor of products
- Conduct design reviews
- Develop tools and test setups to measure or characterize electronic components or systems
- Perform electrical characterization and product qualification, including power consumption, signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, and functional verification
- Communicate with multi-competence engineering teams in a multi-site environment
- Work closely with suppliers, design partners, and factories to meet cost, schedule, and customer experience requirements
Requirements:
- > 10 years of practical experience in consumer electronics, particularly video products
- System understanding
- Strong system-level understanding, including architecture definition, new platform bring-up, thermal considerations, and functional validation
- Proven experience developing camera products such as webcams, conferencing systems, security cameras, or other imaging devices
- Familiarity with image sensors, ISP architectures, camera modules, and system integration
- Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as USB 3.x, MIPI CSI, DDR, PCIe, I²C, SPI, UART, or similar technologies
- Experience with USB Video Class (UVC) products and USB Type-C system integration
- Experience in power architecture design, DC/DC power systems, power sequencing, and low-power optimization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex electrical and system-level issues
- Knowledge of EE lab instruments: oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Experience in the development of test fixtures, including functional test planning, specification definition, and factory CPK validation
- Experience with electrical validation and characterization, including power system evaluation, signal integrity, power integrity, noise analysis, DC/DC converter qualification, EMC, and regulatory compliance testing
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design/review tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent
- Knowledge of SW tools / programming: Ex: Python, scripts, Matlab and other automation frameworks
- Ability to travel internationally
- Fluency in English (written/spoken)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing video products such as webcams, conferencing cameras, security cameras, action cameras, or other imaging devices
- Experience with AI vision, computer vision, or edge AI products is a plus
- Experience with motor control systems, including stepper motors, and BLDC motors
- Knowledge of analog circuit design (e.g., AMIC, operational amplifier applications)
- Experience or familiarity with RF systems and testing is a strong plus
