Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our Production Team at Advanced Infrared Solutions (AIRS), part of Anduril Industries, in Hudson, New Hampshire.

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and repairing complex, high-precision electro-optical systems. You will perform production processes according to documented specifications and production schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and repair complex electro-optical systems
• Perform production processes in accordance with documented specifications and production schedules
• Operate manual/conventional lathes for precision machining

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Familiarity with torque and mechanical tools (gages and indicators)
• Ability to utilize computer systems for process transactions and quality management processes
• Demonstrated hands-on fabrication, mechanical assembly, and wiring skills
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and fill out travelers/visual aids and procedures
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, flexible team environment
• Ability to carry 50 pounds for short periods of time
• Ability to multitask and switch between assignments on short notice
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems
• Experience with 5S practices
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, effective time management, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience using microscopes
• Experience with ESD processes
• Experience with imaging, optics, and alignment
