Description
Electronic Arts is seeking a Development Manager to lead the 3D Characters team for the EA SPORTS NHL franchise in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will report to a Development Director and oversee project schedules, manage the team, and ensure high-quality game feature delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a development team consisting of Software Engineers, Animators, Artists, and Designers.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, and make trade-offs to balance needs versus technical constraints.
- Focus on the immediate team, identifying team issues, and suggesting solutions related to execution goals.
- Ensure each project setup meets specifications with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
- Establish engagement processes to ensure clear workflows, documented processes, and trained staff.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with 3D art production lifecycles, processes, and project planning.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Game Development, Business, or 3D Arts.
- Experience in a Scrum/Agile software development environment (Jira, Perforce, and Visio).
- Experience working with expansive teams, mediation, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to use generative AI productivity tools for daily workflow optimization, early-stage ideation, rapid prototyping, and critically validating AI output.
