Description

This Manager role within Databricks' Credit & Collections organisation is responsible for driving credit strategy, strategic customer collections, AR performance, and complex escalations across a high-growth, usage-based Data/AI business.

The role combines financial and commercial judgment with hands-on customer engagement, functional oversight of collection operations, and governance of the outsourced collections model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Credit & Collections function for an assigned scope within Databricks
  • Owning credit assessment, risk reviews, credit limits, payment terms, credit holds/releases, and exception management
  • Making credit recommendations and decisions within delegated authority
  • Personally managing collections strategy and executive-level escalations for strategic and high-value customers
  • Leading resolution of complex disputes, contractual payment issues, and commercially sensitive collection matters
  • Translating AR and credit trends into actionable insights for Finance leadership
  • Managing the Accenture collections engagement and partnering with Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Legal, Billing, and Finance leadership

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 12+ years of progressive experience across Credit & Collections
  • Proven experience in credit risk assessment, collections strategy, and managing strategic or high-value customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of usage-based and subscription billing models, commercial contracts, and associated credit risks
  • Demonstrated experience owning AR KPIs, collection targets, CEI, DSO, ageing, cash forecasting, write-offs, and bad debt/reserve analysis
  • Experience operationalising credit policies, approval frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate large datasets into clear financial and risk insights
  • Advanced Excel and strong ERP/reporting systems experience
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
