Aviation Engine Quality Inspector

Part of a team responsible for overall engine quality in the Repair Station and Production, ensuring compliance with aviation maintenance and production regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform inspection and release of engines and parts
• Ensure paperwork associated with product shipment is in compliance
• Ensure compliance of engine work plans to approved design data
• Ensure shop floor activities are executed per internally approved procedures
• Review and propose inspection methods and devices
• Facilitate removal/replacement and investigation of suspect parts
• Support root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Associate's degree in technical field or applicable work experience
• Part 65 FAA powerplant mechanics license required
• Minimum five years Repair Station or Production experience
• Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43 and Part 145
• Proven ability with written communication
• Ability to understand design data
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and basic understanding of tooling and gaging
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with ERP and MES products

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work routinely in combination of shop floor and office environments
• Exposure to manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• 20/20 corrected vision
• Enrollment in a DOT/FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse program
• Potential for periodic domestic and international travel
