Description
Part of a team responsible for overall engine quality in the Repair Station and Production, ensuring compliance with aviation maintenance and production regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform inspection and release of engines and parts
- Ensure paperwork associated with product shipment is in compliance
- Ensure compliance of engine work plans to approved design data
- Ensure shop floor activities are executed per internally approved procedures
- Review and propose inspection methods and devices
- Facilitate removal/replacement and investigation of suspect parts
- Support root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Associate's degree in technical field or applicable work experience
- Part 65 FAA powerplant mechanics license required
- Minimum five years Repair Station or Production experience
- Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43 and Part 145
- Proven ability with written communication
- Ability to understand design data
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and basic understanding of tooling and gaging
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with ERP and MES products
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work routinely in combination of shop floor and office environments
- Exposure to manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- 20/20 corrected vision
- Enrollment in a DOT/FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse program
- Potential for periodic domestic and international travel
