Maintenance Specialist - Chevron CoGen

This Maintenance Specialist role at Chevron CoGen, part of Southern Company, involves coordinating maintenance activities to ensure generating availability, efficiency, and reliability.

The successful candidate will report to the O&M Manager and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing technical direction and maintenance expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating maintenance activities for assigned areas/equipment
• Initiating, developing, and implementing plant improvement projects
• Serving as SME and providing technical direction to maintenance and contract personnel
• Supporting and coordinating plant processes, including Maximo and Living Maintenance Strategy
• Developing and monitoring budgets for process and equipment needs

Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of general plant equipment, systems, and operations
• Critical thinking skills and ability to analyze situations
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of budgets and budgeting process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Enterprise Solutions tools
• Understanding of the IBEW/Union contract

Preferred qualifications include:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations and/or Maintenance in an electric generating plant
• Journeyman-level experience in other industrial work environments
• Ability to use EDS and OIS historians to troubleshoot process issues
