Description
WSP is currently seeking a Procurement and Contracts Lead to join our office in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Supply Chain Management and be responsible for managing the overall procurement functions on major projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project bidders lists
- Prepare bid packages and issue Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ)
- Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and form Purchase Orders (POs)
- Collaborate with clients to define project scope, KPIs, budgets, workflows, and procedures
- Work closely with Project Managers, Responsible Engineers, and other stakeholders
- Manage deadlines, communicate schedule conflicts, and ensure procurement activities are completed
- Proactively manage PO change management process and close out POs and contracts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, environmental studies, business, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of supply chain experience
- Several years of supervisory experience
- Proficiency with Oracle-based SCM systems
- Strong relationship management, problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Additional Information:
- The role involves working on projects with the Earth & Environment Team
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
