Director/Senior Director, Product - Applied Data Science

Formation Bio is seeking a Director/Senior Director, Product - Applied Data Science to lead the strategy for scaling data science work in asset acquisition and diligence.

The successful candidate will own the judgment call of which asset-evaluation and diligence analyses have generalization potential across the AAD team's sourcing and evaluation work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the strategy for scaling Formation's data science work for asset acquisition and diligence
• Direct a working team spanning Data Science and Engineering day-to-day
• Collaborate with Data Science and Business Development as strategic partners
• Guide the technical approach on methods being scaled
• Identify new opportunities for AI to impact Formation's asset acquisition and diligence process

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in data science, applied science, or a technical product role
• Life sciences experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, or a related industry
• Strong technical and product judgment
• AI/ML fluency and technical fluency
• Cross-functional influence and business fluency
• Comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy
• Mission-driven, caring about getting medicines to patients faster

Total Compensation Range: $245,000 - $307,000
