Senior Accountant

Forward is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing day-to-day transactions, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed income statement analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and detailed income statement analysis
• Assisting in preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, and audit preparations
• Managing and taking responsibility for transactional accounting processes such as Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash
• Developing accounting policies and procedures
• Working on ad hoc projects to support the development of the company

Requirements:

• Strong GAAP knowledge, particularly in revenue recognition for SaaS companies (ASC 606)
• Experience working in a fast-growth startup environment and being a self-starter
• Critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to detect patterns and interpret incomplete data
• Ability to work in a diverse environment and adapt to shifting priorities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably a mix of public accounting and private industry experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
• Proficiency with Netsuite, Microsoft and Google Suite, Ramp, Floqast, etc.
• Active CPA or pursuing license
• Prior experience at a start-up

This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite at the Santa Clara office.

The base pay range for this role is between $110,000 and $130,000, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
