Datastores Engineer, Platform Infrastructure

Join the Auth0 platform team, which secures over 100 million daily logins worldwide. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Infrastructure Datastores team, you will develop and implement large-scale, distributed, and highly available infrastructure. Your work will enable Auth0 engineers to quickly deploy and manage services on AWS and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop large, distributed, and highly available infrastructure.
• Implement platform tools for feature teams to deploy and manage datastores for their services.
• Research new technologies to accelerate environment creation.
• Lead cross-team initiatives, including code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, and security hygiene.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation.

Ideal Candidate:

• 5-8 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in or willing to learn Golang.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (k8s), Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD).
• Experience working with data storage systems at scale, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of datastore reliability, including standard configurations, latency, throughput, availability, utilisation indicators, and performance analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
• Incremental delivery of work to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• Passion for highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure systems.
• Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working on a fully distributed team.
