Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver for Waitrose & Partners in Exeter, you will bring high-quality produce and exceptional service directly to customers' doors. Your day will involve checking delivery routes, loading and preparing your van, conducting vehicle safety checks, and providing great customer service. You will also support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping.
In addition to your contractual pay of £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days), you will receive a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour for any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check your delivery routes for the day
- Load and prepare your van for deliveries
- Conduct vehicle safety checks
- Provide excellent customer service
- Support the shop team with general tasks
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in a driving role
- Knowledge of chilled vehicles
The role is temporary, part-time (22.5 hours per week), and involves working on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 14:00 to 22:00.
