Special Education Academic Coach I (Point Loma, Chula Vista and Mesa Campus)

We are seeking a Special Education Academic Coach I to assist students with diverse needs in accessing our general education curriculum. As a Special Education Academic Coach I, you will ensure that students receive individualized attention and support in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with instruction and supervision of students with learning differences
• Facilitate small group and individual instruction
• Monitor student progress and provide input for evaluation and parent conferences
• Establish rapport with referred students to improve their behavior, educational performance, and social relationships
• Perform clerical support duties, including typing, completing documents, and record-keeping

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Associate's degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university
• Experience in a school/learning environment preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

This is an hourly position that can work variable hours up to 35 per week. The salary range is $20.60 - $25.11 per hour.
