Description
We are looking for a Staff Platform Manager, Payments Regional Growth to lead our payments platform efforts in Brazil, Mexico, and the broader Latin America region.
The Platform team plays the role of conductor, bringing together engineers, designers, and data scientists to build great product experiences. As a Payments Platform Manager, you will own outcomes across foundation, growth, and empowerment, setting the vision and strategy, defining the roadmap, and driving execution.
Your focus will be on navigating complex, market-specific regulation, deep local payment ecosystems, and fast-moving compliance requirements, while unlocking meaningful growth through local payment methods, checkout optimization, and installments.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for regional payments across Brazil, Mexico, and the broader region
- Optimize checkout and conversion, reducing friction at the moment of booking, and improving regional checkout conversion funnels
- Grow through local payment methods and affordability products, expanding local payment methods and installment/affordability options
- Drive the full product lifecycle, from discovery to launch, ramp, and iteration
- Define product requirements for processor and payment-method integrations, partnering with Engineering teams
- Lead regulatory and compliance workstreams in partnership with Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Finance
- Define and track KPIs across conversion, cost, reliability, and revenue, using data to prioritize and measure impact
Requirements:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record building and scaling payments or financial products
- Deep understanding of the payments stack and how money moves in a marketplace environment
- Strong checkout and conversion instincts, with a demonstrated ability to reduce friction at the moment of purchase
- Hands-on experience with payments fundamentals, including authorization and settlement, processors/gateways and acquirers, card-scheme rules, 3DS/SCA, tokenization/vaulting, and reconciliation
- Experience with local payment methods and affordability products
- Familiarity with the LATAM payments ecosystem, including Pix, SPEI, regional wallets, and installment culture
- Data-driven, with fluency in defining KPIs, running experiments, and using analytics to guide decisions
- Technical acumen to partner closely with engineering and explain complex concepts simply
