Chief Accountant

We are seeking a Chief Accountant to join our team at RB Omi-Ardija, a professional soccer club based in Saitama, Japan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of finance management, including accounting, reporting, and internal control management.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and transparent accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with local regulations and group accounting guidelines
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Conduct period-end closings, prepare financial statements, and perform account reconciliations
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Provide support for tax management, budgeting, and forecasting
• Supervise and develop the accounting team
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax specialists, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

• Relevant accounting qualification (Certified Management Accountant)
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Japanese tax legislation, local GAAP, and IFRS
• Proficiency in SAP (FI, CO, COPA, and BI) and HFM
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Fluency in English
