Manager, Ocean Procurement

The Ocean team at Flexport works globally to ensure smooth business operations and provide the best ocean product for clients. As a Procurement Manager, you'll be integral to achieving Flexport's growth goals, focusing on the Transpacific-Eastbound (TPEB) trade.

Responsibilities:

• Drive ocean carrier procurement for TPEB, leading carrier development and partnerships
• Coordinate and negotiate procurement activities across various timeframes
• Build scalable procurement processes and tools
• Lead rate setting and strategy during RFP seasons
• Collaborate with commercial and demand teams to win new business and execute current business
• Educate the broader organization on carrier and tradelane intelligence
• Lead cross-team meetings and work with colleagues in Asia
• Manage escalations to keep business operations smooth

Requirements:

• 7+ years of ocean procurement experience or supply chain experience with a BA/BS degree
• Strategic vision and continuous improvement mindset
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to travel regionally and internationally
• Compliance-focused attitude

Benefits:

• Salary range: $96,000-$120,000 USD
