Product Designer

At Ford Motor Company, you will work as a Product Designer, focusing on mobile product design. The Digital Product Design (DPD) team at Ford aims to create simple, thoughtful, enjoyable, and compelling product experiences for customers. As a Mobile Product Designer, you will collaborate with the Mobile App Team to design features, prototypes, user flows, and implement design systems for mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of features and improvements for products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
• Balance UX and UI design, taking projects from wireframe to highly polished visual interfaces.
• Develop mobile app features and user experiences using Figma.
• Craft and manage backlog stories representing your work.
• Take ownership of independent design work tracks, managing timelines and deliverables.
• Develop and iterate on user flows, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
• Apply data-driven insights to inform design decisions and measure impact.
• Express the brand vision through user interface design for mobile app experiences.
• Execute designs with attention to layout, color, typography, and interactive behavior.
• Exhibit passion for emerging hardware and software technologies, new interaction models, and visual design excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Feature Teams for seamless concept-to-implementation transitions.
• Employ a systematic approach to solving complex design challenges with the Design System team.
• Present creative work early and often to key stakeholders in design reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of UX/UI product design experience, with at least 2+ years designing native or responsive mobile applications.
• High proficiency in Figma.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating multiple shipped mobile app design projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
