Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Revit Technician to join our team in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Working on a variety of interesting projects encompassing Healthcare, Renewable Energy, Energy, Heritage, Commercial, Industrial and the hospitality buildings sectors, you will produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit, preparing engineering models and drawings from sketches and design information.
As a Senior Structural Technician, you will:
- Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit
- Prepare engineering models and drawings from sketches and design information
- Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes
- Use BIM technologies both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages
- Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, actively driving the collaboration.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in Building Structures as a Technician
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software
- Experience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules
- Strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role
- Proficiency at planning and organising workload
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent presentation skills
- Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience of working on a range of projects across a variety of sectors
