Description
As a Paraprofessional with The Menta Group, you will work with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.
Responsibilities
You will manage classroom behaviors, report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staff, implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data, maintain classroom order and safety, provide general supervision of students, assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance and escalation in behavior, maintain alertness for problems that could disrupt the educational process or pose a safety concern, respond to emergency situations, and provide interventions to students to help manage behaviors.
Qualifications
Paraprofessional experience is helpful. You should be able to work with high-risk special needs students. A security or juvenile justice background is helpful. A good driving record and willingness to drive a student van are preferred. Military veterans are encouraged to apply. You should be at least 23 years old and able to operate tactfully under stress with flexibility to change routines.
