Payroll and Taxes Manager

As a Payroll & Tax Team Leader at Gusto, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring businesses run smoothly by leading a dedicated team that leverages Gusto's platform to handle payroll and tax compliance.

You will lead a team of passionate individuals, creating an environment of continuous development and improvement through mentoring, coaching, and feedback. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team and supporting their daily activities
• Creating an environment of continuous development and improvement
• Empowering your team to use scalable systems and metrics to monitor and improve the customer experience
• Understanding your team's performance and coaching individuals to meet or exceed their performance goals
• Using data to identify areas for improvement in tools and processes
• Building a strong culture of collaboration with the product team
• Utilizing AI to learn quickly, create process improvements, and drive organisational change

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams of individual contributors
• Deep understanding of customer experience, support metrics, and best practices
• Background in payroll and/or tax is desired
• Experience using data to build new processes and improve existing ones
• Ability to hire, coach, and retain top talent in a highly complex and regulated support environment
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required

We offer a competitive salary: $69,000/yearly - $85,000/yearly in Phoenix and $74,245/yearly - $91,000/yearly in Denver, along with benefits and equity (RSUs).
