Description
WSP is seeking a Lead Consultant, Electrical Engineer for our New York City team. As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in projects with our Properties & Buildings Team, working on high-quality, high-profile projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance.
Your Impact
- Prepare basic deliverables and products, including calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, and assign responsibilities
- Examine field conditions to support project development and completion
- Design building electrical systems, including power, lighting, communication, security systems, and fire alarm
- Develop project specifications and attend meetings with architects, owners, and building managers
- Ensure client project goals and objectives are met
- Assist in business development and human resource efforts
- Enhance the firm's reputation by accepting ownership for internal and external client requests
- Update job knowledge and technical expertise through educational opportunities and certifications
Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer
- Knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems design and construction
- Comprehensive knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards
- Strong organisational, prioritisation, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Experience in construction administration and technical field assistance
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasive, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and ETAP software
- Proficient in MS Office

Compensation
- Expected Salary: $122,000 - $185,000
