Description
Howden Re is seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset to join its US Facultative business team. The successful candidate will support senior team members in establishing renewal strategy and execution plans, develop analytical skills to evaluate reinsurance structures, create client presentations, and build technical analyses for client portfolios.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support senior team members in establishing renewal strategy and execution plans
- Develop ability to compare and contrast various reinsurance structures and evaluate financial cost/benefit
- Create client presentations around structure, pricing, and market conditions
- Build submission and detailed technical analyses for client portfolios
- Coordinate and create pre/post binding due diligence procedures
- Partner with Contract Drafting for wording negotiations
- Work with all Howden Re resources to deliver effective client service
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a business-related position
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a business-related field
- Interest in pursuing a career within Reinsurance
- Proactive, creative, and analytical thinker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work on client-related tasks
- Ability to apply mathematical thinking in business and insurance environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Highly motivated and committed to continual professional development
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
The expected annual salary for this role is $90,000-$150,000.
