Senior Account Representative

We are seeking a Senior Account Representative to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. As a Senior Account Representative, you will be responsible for procuring and coordinating the supply of raw materials, specifically steel, in support of Honda of America Manufacturing and its suppliers. You will act independently as Honda Trading's representative to Honda of America Manufacturing in matters that require face-to-face contact.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure on-time scheduled delivery of customers' steel requirements
• Improve customer service by providing thorough knowledge of customers and their expectations
• Improve supplier management by acting as a contact and liaison between HTA and assigned suppliers
• Lead and coordinate cost-down and development of projects
• Improve profitability of department by providing clear and concise reporting of pertinent operating data
• Improve efficiency of department by developing clear daily operating procedures
• Communicate with management and motivate assistant and control workload

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
• 3-5 years of purchasing or sales experience (required)
• Basic knowledge of cost accounting (preferred)
• Customer service experience (required)
• Strong interpersonal skills, sound understanding of general business concepts, conflict management skills, and strong understanding of cost factors impacting profit/loss
