As a Radio Frequency Test Engineer within the Electromagnetic Warfare team, you will be responsible for ensuring that systems are tested to stringent standards, shipping high-quality products to customers, and meeting production throughput requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure production test flow.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex electrical issues found during testing.
  • Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream.
  • Improve and sustain existing test systems to improve automation, consistency, total cycle time, and test coverage.
  • Generate test work instructions and train technicians on equipment use.
  • Develop a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
  • Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to support customer returns and failure analysis.
  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports.
  • Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
  • Experience with contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies.
  • Knowledge of PCBA testing standards and methods.
  • Familiarity with electronics test equipment.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Test Execution Systems (TES).
  • Experience working on projects that involve the integration of electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
