FBS Product Owner III

We are looking for a FBS Product Owner III to take a fully independent lead in several areas of product development by following the principles of Agile. You will manage the team backlog, anticipate and prioritize needs, oversee development stages, act as a primary liaison and evaluate product progress.

You will serve as the customer proxy, working collaboratively with business owners and other stakeholders to accomplish these tasks with little to no support with a high volume of work and increased complexity. You will utilize strong understanding of the business vision to regularly contribute and manage execution.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage team backlog items and prioritize based on business value
• Outline dependencies and inform stakeholders of the necessary sequence of development to ensure optimized performance and outcomes
• Hold a significant role in quality control and be the primary team member empowered to accept stories as done
• Utilize advanced business knowledge and communication skills to anticipate problems and address them accordingly
• Work cross-functionally in a self-organizing manner to accomplish tasks and effectively manage the backlog
• Lead processes and procedure changes identified by teams by working with external business partners
• Effectively apply critical thinking to identify flexibility in determining how and when each iteration and product element will be developed
• Act as primary communicator and connection between stakeholders, end-users and teams determining if each story meets their shared expectations
• Ensure collaboration from all stakeholders on decisions and strategy providing clear instructions and deliverables for developers
• Take ownership for each stage of the process and final product to ensure the goal and vision are correctly aligned with the work items on the backlog
• Contribute strategic input into the prioritization of the program backlog, coordinate dependencies and manage the inspection and evaluation of product progress through each iteration
• Drive the mitigation of program risks
• Lead PO and/or ART sync meetings in addition to the system demo to show critical aspects of the solution
• Lead in Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshop to work across teams to define and implement improvement stories to increase program quality

• Guidewire Policy Center (cloud instance) - Intermediate (4-6 Years)
• Rally (or other equivalent work management tool) - Intermediate (4-6 Years)
• Office Suite - Intermediate (4-6 Years)
• Copilot or other AI tools - Intermediate (4-6 Years)
