Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. As a Consultant Specialist, you will communicate with relevant stakeholders regarding resolving issues related to delivery of projects.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production queries or incidents
• Presenting, developing, and applying program fixes on Application defects according to HSBC Change Management standards
• Influencing key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
• Understanding functional and non-functional requirements through regular interactions with Business Analysts, SMEs, and Solution Architects
• Taking the lead in designing reusable and maintainable solutions
• Applying an AI software development lifecycle approach
• Assisting in the delivery of AI-enabled features
• Ensuring cost-effective product solutions are designed and maintained through the agile development lifecycle
• Breaking down system functions into multiple-tier API layers and microservices
• Providing accurate estimates and status updates to management
• Ensuring high-quality development measured by defect counts and defect ratios
• Providing Application incident on-call support during off-business hours

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years' IT software development experience with strong experience in Java 8 or above, Spring, Restful Services, Spring Boot, and micro-service based architectures
• A track record of delivering change on architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions, preferably in a financial institution
• Good understanding of both RDBMS & NoSQL databases technologies
• Experience of containerization, ideally using Docker / Kubernetes
• Hands-on technical expertise in Cloud technologies
• Experience building and deploying AI/ML or LLM-powered applications in production
• Knowledge of AI SDLC concepts
• Strong experience in DevOps tools
• Good understanding of messaging services
• Strong work ethic and team player experienced working with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills and fluent in English
